ABOUT THE ARTIST

BRITTANY KARERAR

Brittany Horne is a fine artist known for her vibrant portrait paintings. She is from a very small town in Northeast Mississippi called Shuqualak. Her earliest memories include painting and drawing with her mother at five years old. She left home at the age of sixteen to attend art school to pursue her artistic endeavors. She graduated from Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven, MS, and later obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mississippi State University followed by Master’s in Science from Mississippi College. To show love and appreciation to her former high schools, she taught on the high school level as an art teacher for six years. Brittany and her students have been recognized nationally for their artistic achievements. Her current art consists of royal portraits inspired by music artists as well as humanitarian art dedicated to the awareness of the plight of homelessness in America. Brittany works in oil on canvas and mixed media. Her most highlighted series are Homelessness in America and Organic Revision. Her ability to create realistic portraits is profound. These portraits have been seen throughout the music and entertainment industry creating collaborations with stars such as YFN Lucci, Lil Duval, Nayo Smash, Music Producers, and Musicians. Her Rick Ross painting is currently on exhibit at the TRAP Museum in Atlanta, Ga. She has exhibited her artwork in many professional art galleries and juried exhibitions on the collegiate and professional level. Her role as a mother, years of experience, educational status, and teaching abilities inspires her as she continues to embark on her entrepreneurial journey. She consistently thrives as a mother, artist, and teacher creating her own stylized brand of art inspiring former students and many upcoming artists.
